I write newsletters for three businesses. For a long time that meant a blank screen, a lot of rewriting, and double-checking every date twice.

So I built a Claude skill to handle the first draft. It learns how I sound from emails I've already written, follows the same layout every time, and checks every date against the calendar before I send.

Then I cleaned it up so it works for any small business. Bakeries, salons, studios, consultants, shops. If you send a newsletter, or keep meaning to, this is for you.

Say "set up my newsletter skill" and answer a few questions. Paste in two or three emails or captions you've written so it learns how you sound.

Dates, prices, links, half sentences about what's happening. It sorts them into a real newsletter.

Paste and send

You get three subject lines, preview text, and the email itself, plus a quick list of every date, price, and link it used so you can check them at a glance.

Do I need a paid Claude plan?

No. Skills work on every Claude plan, including free, as long as code execution is turned on in your settings. Paid plans give you more usage, which helps if you write a lot in one sitting.

Which email platforms does it work with?

Any of them. You'll get paste-ready HTML for platforms that accept custom code, or block-by-block copy for drag-and-drop editors.

Will it actually sound like me?

It learns from the writing samples you give it, so the more real examples you add, the closer it gets. You can always ask it to change a line or try a different tone.

How long does setup take?

About 15 minutes, most of it pasting in a few emails you've already written.

I'm not techy. Will I be able to do this?

If you can upload a file and copy and paste, you're set. If you'd rather not, the Newsletter Setup covers all of it.
